David D. Murphy,
Age 75, of East Sparta, passed away Wed., June 26, 2024. He was born July 12, 1948, in Barnesville, OH, a son of the late Densle and Ada (Grant) Murphy. David was a 1966 graduate of Barnesville High School and retired from the Timken Co. as a press operator. Preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Murphy, on Oct. 19, 2023, his daughter, Jill Thomas, two sisters, Elaine Daniels and Barbara Mann, and two brothers, Densle Murphy, Jr., and Robert Murphy. Survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle (Shawn) Forester; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Christopher (Britt) Wiersteiner, and children, Harper and Cameron, Nicole Wiersteiner, and her son, Jameson, Kyle Huston, and Kayleigh Forester; one sister and brother-in-law, Judy (Joe) Yurina; and one brother, Randy Murphy. David restored cars and loved to be in his garage; therefore the family requests that everyone dresses comfortably. Services will be held Fri., July 5, at 11 am in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Brett Hughes officiating. Interment in Ebeneezer Cemetery in Bethesda, OH.
