Judith (Judy) Ann Gardner
September 20, 1940 – February 14, 2026

Judith Ann Gardner, age 85, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026. Born on September 20, 1940, Judy lived a life defined by compassion, quiet strength, and a deep love for the many animals she cared for throughout the years.

Judy graduated with a nursing diploma in 1961, earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 1976, and completed her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in 1984. Her commitment to service extended beyond civilian life when she was commissioned as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserve. She served with the 350th Combat Support Hospital and later achieved the rank of Captain in the U.S. Army. She also served as Assistant Area Director for the 91C LPM program of the 2076th U.S. Army Reserve Forces School.

Outside of her professional and military accomplishments, Judy had a deep passion for the arts, especially music and theatre, which brought her great joy throughout her life.

She is remembered by her sisters, Kathy and Suzie, and her brother, Jesse. She leaves behind her children-James, Jeffrey, Joel, and Janine-along with eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who will continue to carry her memory forward.

Judy was a devoted advocate for animals of all kinds and spent much of her life showing kindness and care to creatures great and small. Her gentle spirit and generous heart touched many lives. She also formed lasting friendships that stretched from Cheboygan, Michigan, to Canton, Ohio, and everywhere in between, leaving a trail of connection wherever she went.

In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held. Those who knew and loved Judy are encouraged to honor her memory in their own quiet way, perhaps through an act of kindness or care for an animal in need.
