David “Dave” Narjes, 75, of Owensboro, passed away December 28, 2025. He was born in Berwyn, IL on April 24, 1950, to the late Herman and Ida Gladson Narjes. Dave was a Veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam era. He fine-tuned his natural skills as a mechanic while in the Army, working as a helicopter mechanic and used those for the remainder of his working career. Dave retired from Midwest Pipe Coating as their Maintenance Supervisor after many years of dedication to the trade.

He was a good man, a Christian that was always ready to lend a helping hand and was drawn to anything that needed fixed. With his well-rounded knowledge and skills, Dave was eager to find the problem and repair it. His sense of humor was always appreciated and his ability to make a friend in anyone was something rare. Whether it was making friends on the golf course, or just being a kind neighbor, Dave always left an impression on others that will remain in our memories.

He was also preceded in death by his stepchildren, Gregory Cannon and Mark Allen Massey.

Dave is survived by his wife, Linda Narjes; children, Athena (Bob) Roman and Alex Narjes; stepsons, Jimmy Dean Cannon, Jeffrey (Kim) Massey, and Christopher (Jennifer) Massey; four grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; his twin brother, Don (Sharon Riley) Narjes; brother, Rick (Dawn) Narjes and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Mt. Olive General Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
