Marquette, MI- David Wilfred Nault, 81, passed away on March 26, 2024, in Marquette, MI. He was born on October 28, 1942, in Ishpeming, MI. David graduated from Ishpeming High School and later became a proud veteran with a military association in the Army National Guard as a medic.
Once out of the Army, David worked his way up the chain of commands starting out as an orderly and ended as a maintenance supervisor for Marquette County Medical Care Facility. In his later years, he met the love of his life love, Teresa. They were married June 23rd, 2012, and shared 12 happy years together.
David was a man of many words, with a wealth of life experiences that he enjoyed sharing with his loved ones. In his leisure time, he found joy in shooting pool, playing cribbage, and taking road trips to view monuments and state parks. David also had a knack for taking pictures of nature. One of his favorite places to visit in the summer was Tahquamenon Falls.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa (Valenti) Nault, his daughter Katherine (Jared) Valenti Lawson, his stepson Stephan (Ann) Valenti, his sister Ruby Jacobs, his grandchildren Tasha Valenti, Lena Valenti, Liam Lawson, Lexi Lawson, Lewis Lawson and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Della and Clarence Nault, Brother Kim Nault, sister Laura Nault, and brother-in-law Keith Jacobs.
David will be dearly missed by all who knew him, and will forever live on in our hearts.
A Memorial Service will be held in honor of his life at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. There will be visitation from 2pm to 3pm, followed by a service with Pastor Kevin Taylor officiating.
Military Honors will be accorded by the UP-Funeral Honors Team.
