David Hugo Nava passed away from this life and was welcomed into the arm of our Lord on April 21, 2023, at the young age of 70 years. He was born in Laredo, Texas on December 26, 1952, to Pedro and Lucha Menchaca Nava.
David will be lovingly remembered by wife of 50 wonderful years, Janice Nava; daughter, Valerie Nava Thompson; son, David Nava Jr (Kara); sister, Rosie Nava Ritch; brother, Victor Nava (Cathy); sister -in- law, Suzanna Nava; grandchildren: Kyle and Taylor Nava, Cody, Dylan, Dustin (Lexie) Thompson; great grandson, Saint Sage Thompson; nieces and nephews: Henry, James Marquez, Natalie Nava, Christina Carr, Jeanie Hamilton, David Hamilton Jr., Vincent, Terry, Michael Ritch, and Quinton Nava. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Lucha Menchaca Nava; brother, Pete Nava; sister, Hilda Nava Hamilton; and nephew Bobby John Ritch.
David was always a lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed having BBQ with his family, fishing, hunting, which he processed his own deer meat, and hanging out with good friends. He dabbled in taxidermy for a while and his work was remarkable. We love him so much and now he will be watching over and guiding us though life. David loved spending all his time with family and no matter what challenges he had, he always managed to help anyone in need. A true inspiration to all who knew and loved him; he will be fondly remembered and loved by all who graced his presence.
"In the garden of memory, in the palace of dreams that is where you and I shall meet." ~ Lewis Carol

Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. I will always remember David as being one of my dad's closest friends and used to love hearing them laugh and joke together. May God hold your family close during this time of sorrow.
