David Noonan Obituary

Published by D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home on Nov. 7, 2012.
David M. Noonan, age 41 of Madison Heights, died November 7, 2012. David was born May 6, 1971 in Detroit, Michigan, the Son of David Noonan and Linda (nee: Currie) Nael. In telling the story of David, his was a life steeped in a mixture of the eclectic, industrious and adventuresome. From his employment choices to the things that brought him joy, David had a unique and genuine passion that truly made its mark. At the young age of 13, his first step into the employment realm came when he accepted a position at a local Burger King restaurant. With that industrious spirit in play, and a little time under his belt, David was proud of his elevation to management within the company. Remaining within the food service arena, his roots would expand to different cities and venues, furthering his career in places like Chicago, Miami and California. As time passed and his sights became heightened, a career change would find him exchanging the restaurant path for that of the 'friendly skies,' where he worked as a Flight Attendant for Northwest Airlines. David already possessed a passion for travel. But his new career path, now, afforded him the luxury of experiencing many wonders of the globe that he may never have otherwise. He was still serving people, but with an entirely different flair as their 'Concierge in the Sky.' When he wasn't working, David's pastimes often included a venture into the gaming realm of some sort. In his younger years, the thrill of an arcade game would always pique his interest. His two favorites were Pac Man and Pinball. As David grew older, his tastes turned more toward the fun of gaming with friends, with his talents and knowledge, now, being realized in a challenging game of Scrabble. He was great with words, and the competition provided a storehouse of wonderful memories. Some of David's other notable traits included his love of movies, an extensive appreciation & knowledge of wine, his fluency in speaking Spanish, and taking care of his physical health. He loved working out and staying fit and trim. Though David leaves this life at far too young an age, there's no mistaking the impact and mark he leaves upon many hearts who will miss his presence. An independent, unique and genuine spirit that forged his own path in life, those who knew him best are left to embrace the memorable moments that made him special. He will be missed immensely and loved eternally. David was the dear brother of Lori Daniels, Lisa Koski, Kimberly Doran, Paul Jr., and Amy McComber. He was a loving uncle to Ethen and Emily. Visitation for David will be Monday from 2-9 pm at the Christian Lighthouse Church, 57 Church St., Mount Clemens, with a 7:30 pm Funeral Service. Please share memories of David at his guestbook.

To David's beloved family and friends,

It has taken me years to accept the passing of a friend who was one of the most genuinely kind people I ever met. David and I met in Chicago in 1993 and becomes fast friends. He was truly there for me as I went through some of the most challenging times in my personal life and he was an unconditionally supportive and loving friend. It broke my heart to learn of his passing at such a young age and that I could not return the kindness he had showed me. David and I had a normal pre-social media age parting where our lives just went in different ways. Years ago, I was looking him up when I came across the then recent news of his passing. Such a shock and a loss. I want his family to know that I am forever grateful to their David for making me feel special and cared for during some very turbulent times and know that I will think fondly of him for as long as I am capable. I have had the privilege of meeting some very remarkable people throughout my lifetime, but David was, indeed, one of the most incredible. And we had so much laughter together. That is what I will remember. Always.

David and I were fast friends when we met back then during those South Beach days - always a free spirit and a sweet person. I think about him from time to time and he is truly missed. Prayers for your family Dear David
