David “Dave” L Otterstrom, 72, of Peoria Illinois, died peacefully on February 17, 2024 at OSF Medical Center in Peoria. Born on January 8, 1952 to Howard and Gertrude (Templin) Otterstrom. Dave married his wife Susan (Carey) Otterstrom on August 9, 1991.
Dave worked at Mitchell Fabrics for 35 years managing the drapery hardware department, retiring in 2011. He loved fishing, admiring vintage cars and his new-found hobby of woodworking.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Dan and Joe.
David is a survived by his wife Susan, daughter Erin Otterstrom of Peoria; son Joseph (Noelle) Tarpey of Madison Wisconsin; granddaughter Joanie Tarpey of
Madison, Wisconsin, sister Christine Barrow of Peoria, sister Marcia Hess of Peoria and sister-in-law Lori Otterstrom of Peoria, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday February 24, 2024 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 3601 N North St., Peoria, IL Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM and service to follow at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St Jude Midwest Affiliate or St Paul’s Episcopal Church Food Pantry
