David Mark Parkman

David Mark Parkman, 66, of Newnan, Georgia passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Wellstar Hospital in Lagrange, Georgia. He was born March 23, 1959 at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia to the late David Hershel Parkman and Katherine Norton Parkman. Mark grew up in Newnan and Palmetto, Georgia and graduated from Palmetto HIgh School in 1977. After graduation, Mark served as an LDS Young Teaching Missionary for two years in Bakersfield, CA. After his mission, Mark returned to Newnan where he lived until his passing. Mark was a longtime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include sister Etoye Renee Parkman; brothers Michael Lesley Parkman and Frank Gaines Thomas Parkman; nieces Brittain Claire Belyeu and Lita Shea Therrell; and nephew Liam Brittain Belyeu.

A private graveside service will be held at Sargent Cemetery. Rather than flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Scottish Rite Children's Hospital at choa.org/give.
