David Robert Payton II

David Robert Payton, II, of Elberton, Georgia, son of the late David Robert Payton and Adina Suzanne Fullington, departed this life on March 9, 2026, in Elberton, Georgia.

David, the second of four siblings, was born on May 12, 1975, in Elberton, Georgia. He was known for his love of the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing more than anything else.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father; his stepfather, George M. Moon, Sr.; and two brothers, Michael Joe Payton and Joseph William Moon.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Suzanne Moon; his brothers, George Moon, Jr. and Aaron Moon; his two sons, Andrew Bailey and Adrian Pugh; and a host of nieces, nephews,
great-nieces, and great-nephews who will miss him dearly.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Mr. Payton will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Celebration Outreach Center. The service will be officiated by Rev. Ken Buffington.
