David Lynn Pease, 63, passed away suddenly on May 25, 2024. He was deeply loved by his wife, children, grandchildren, brothers, and their families.
Dave was born on January 4, 1961 in Rockford, IL. He spent his childhood living in Mt. Morris, IL before moving to Geneva, IL. He attended Geneva High School where he excelled in basketball and football and met his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Kelly.
After raising their families, Dave and Kelly reconnected at their 25th high school reunion. They went on to spend 20 beautiful years together and united in marriage on August 29, 2022. They were best friends with a beautiful love story. Dave will be eternally missed and forever loved by Kelly.
Dave will be remembered for being the most caring, loving, kind and big hearted person he was. Dave was a Chicago sports fan who loved watching the Cubs and Bears. He filled his life and the spaces around him with beautiful art and music. He was an amazing artist and painter. He loved gardening and creating beautiful landscapes with Kelly at their home. Through all of his passions and hobbies, however, Dave loved spending time with his family and friends most of all. And can't forget, he loved a good Bloody Mary.
Survived by his wife, Kelly, daughter, Autumn Pease, sons, Shane Pease and Dallas Pease (Jas), step children, Jessica Christopher (Matt), Lindsay Hajek, Travis Hajek, grandchildren, Soren Pease, Liam McBain, Neveah Sandry, Ayden Hajek, Carson Christopher, Elliott Christopher, Brothers, Randy (Sally), Steve (Julie), and Tim (Jennifer).
Preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Marlene Pease.
Visitation services will be held from 10am-12pm with service to immediately follow on Thursday June 6th at Yurs Funeral Home in Geneva. 1771 W. State Street, Geneva IL 60134.
Donations in Dave's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

I have so many great memories of Dave that it's hard to list just one. Junior High basketball games come to mind immediately. Along with those lunchtime dances in the gym! I remember a summer day with Dave, and a group of us, riding our bikes everywhere in Mt. Morris stopping at different houses, shooting baskets and more. Dave was such a nice guy and so much fun! I'm glad I was able to see him at our 40th class reunion! Prayers for his wife, Kelly, and the rest of his family.

I have many fond memories of growing up in Mt. Morris with Dave (and his family)! I spent a few weekends in Geneva back in the day, but unfortunately our lives did not intersect often enough.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Kelly and Dave's entire family.

Sweet Kelly, I'm so so sorry to hear of Dave's sudden passing. The last time I saw you both was at your beautiful home after Chris Moore's memorial. You included Carla, Kelli, and I along with all of Dave's and Chris's friends. Over the years I have thought of you often, and was so happy that you both found a way back to each other and could see the love you both had for each other. Sending love, hugs, sympathies, condolences, and prayers to you and all of yours and Daves beautiful blended family members for this loss. Dave was always so sweet and nice to me and I will always remember his sweet smile and personality. I will think of him and Chris up there together watching their Bears and watching over both of their families.

Kelly I cannot get over your loss of Dave! I am so sad for you and the whole family. This just breaks my hear; I was so happy for you the two when you reconnected recently. It was nice to see him occasionally here at Penske/Black Horse. He was such a nice guy, I always liked him. I will pray that you find peace during this time of grieving. God Bless you and your family.

Kelly, I am heartbroken to hear the news of Dave's passing. My prayers are with you and the entire Pease family. I have wonderful memories of the times I spent with Dave in high school. I was in awe of his talent as an athlete, but even more impressive was his heart of gold. People noticed when Dave Pease walked into a room with his presence and his smile, so talented yet so humble.

After several years of not seeing Dave, I saw he and Kelly at a football game a few years back. It immediately put a smile on my face. I wish I could go back and try harder to stay in touch over the years. Life is short, reach out to your friends. Kelly, God Bless you and the entire Pease family and know I am praying for you all.

My deepest heartfelt condolences to Kelly and the entire Pease family. Dave was a great guy who made us laugh and could always bring a smile to my face from the moment we would meet with the simple word, "Brownie" and that Dave Pease smile. Peace to you all, nothing but very fond memories.
