David Perry Obituary
David Wayne Perry, 74, of Frankfort, and husband of Teresa Herrell Perry passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 23, 2026. He was born to the late Thomas Edison Perry and Martha Maxine Keith Perry on May 11, 1951 in Somerset. David was a Christian who was led to the Lord by Pastor Mike Colston of Memorial Baptist Church.
A McCreary County native, David was a graduate of McCreary County High School, Class of 1969. He was an electrician in coal mines during his early career. He built a successful nearly thirty-year career at Toyota Manufacturing in Georgetown. His roles included Pilot Team Member, Assembly Production Engineer, and Group Leader in Logistics and Production.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he loved mowing his yard. He also played guitar.
In addition to his loving wife of 54 years, David is survived by their three children, Lisa Nicole Perry, Kevin Thomas Perry (Amanda Perkins), and Jessica Perry (Thomas) Wolfe; four grandchildren, Wesley Clark Perry, Zachary Bryan Langley, Liam David Wolfe, and a new grandchild on the way; and two sisters, Marsha Rae (Ralph) Creekmore and Phyllis Ann (Randall) Meadows. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his brother, Charles Linden Perry.
A celebration of life visitation will take place on Monday, March 30 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Clark Legacy Center, 3000 Versailles Road, Frankfort, KY 40601.
