David R. Phoenix Sr.

David R. Phoenix, Sr.,77, of Uxbridge, MA, passed away peacefully at home on March 10, 2024 with his family by his side.
He was born on September 4, 1946, in Worcester, MA, son of the late Ernest and Leda M. (LaRochelle) Phoenix, Sr. and was a 1964 graduate of Uxbridge High School His formative years were shared with his brothers in Uxbridge, Don, the late Richard Phoenix, and the late Ernest Phoenix, Jr. creating memories that would last a lifetime.
After completing his education, David embarked on a career with the telephone company. He was an engineer at Verizon, where he devoted 34 years of service and was a sought after fiberoptic expert. His work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident to all who knew him. David also took great pride in his role as a board member and superintendent of Prospect Hill Cemetery, where he served with honor and distinction.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jacqui M. Phoenix of 22 years; his children, David Phoenix, Jr. of FL, Lori Phoenix of Norwood, and Mike Phoenix and his wife Alana of Uxbridge. David's legacy continues through his grandchildren, Christian and Addie Faggas of Boston, and Jack and Cooper Phoenix of Uxbridge. He is also survived by his brother, Donald Phoenix of VT, along with many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 9-10:30AM in Buma Funeral Home, 101 N. Main St., Uxbridge, followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM in the funeral home.
Burial to follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Mendon St., Uxbridge.
