David Pitzer Obituary
David was born on September 27, 1952 to Francis Pitzer and Dorothy Schuler in Portsmouth, Ohio. After David graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1969, he went on to study Social Work at Shawnee State, graduating from O.U. With his degree in Social Work, he started his first job with the State of Ohio in the Medicare Division. He also was employed for 25 years+ at Nationwide Insurance. Upon retiring, he began working for the city of Grove City, Division of Parks and Recs, doing something that he has enjoyed most of his life.
In 1986, David met his husband Michael Esposito, and they were united in marriage in 2009. David gained 4 children with this union: Matthew and Stacey Esposito, Don and Melissa Mitchell, Eric and Amy Esposito, Nicholas and Tess Esposito. Special thanks to cousins Ken and Sharon Overman for all of the love and support. After David retired, he spent time tending to his flowers and traveling.
David was predeceased by both sets of grandparents, his parents, and a brother Joe. He is survived by Michael, his husband; his sister Susan Coriell; numerous cousins; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Per David's request, no funeral or memorial is to take place. After cremation, his ashes will be scattered in his favorite vacation area of Siesta Key, Fla in the year of 2024.
