David Plunkett, born on May 6, 1951, in East Liverpool, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home in Irondale, Ohio, on August 28, 2025, at the age of 74.

David was a dedicated and skilled heavy equipment operator, who worked for many companies throughout his life. His work was more than just a job; it was a testament to his commitment and resilience. In addition to his professional pursuits, David found great joy in horse riding and cherished every moment spent with them. He embraced the farm life with open arms, finding peace and contentment in its simplicity. Alongside this, David had a passion for driving trucks, which he did for many years, relishing the freedom and adventure it brought him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alex Plunkett, and his sister, Becky Plunkett.

David is survived by his devoted mother, Shirley (Gradhous) Plunkett, and his loving wife, Marsha Plunkett. He leaves behind his sons, Jason (Rachel) and Chris (Geanie) Plunkett, who will carry forward his legacy with pride. David is also survived by his brothers, Charles and Danny Plunkett, his sister, Kathy Plunkett, and grandchildren Cody, Jaiden, Cory, and Georgie Plunkett, all of whom will miss him dearly.

In keeping with David's wishes, no formal services are planned at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to the MacLean Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists.

David will be remembered for his unwavering spirit, his love for the simple joys of life, and the deep affection he held for his family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
