Obituary For Nicholas Carmine LoMele

Nicholas "Nick" Carmine LoMele, 79, of Gloucester, VA, passed away on the early morning of August 9, 2025.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, Nick loved his family above all else. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patti, with whom he shared 41 wonderful years of marriage; his children, Debbie (Dave), Donna, Keri (Ryan), Nick (Lindsay), Michelle (Jeremy), and James; his grandchildren, Amber (Andrew), Trevor (Catherine), Grayson (Rebekah), Kaylie, Nathan, Kristyn, Alexis, Nicholas, Joseph, and Michael; and great-grandchildren, Kain, Violet, and Archer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Carmela, his brother Frank, and his sister, Phil.

Nick proudly served his country as a MP in the United States Air Force, a commitment that reflected his deep patriotism and sense of duty. Eventually, he found his way to Gloucester, Virginia and poured his heart into the horses at the Blue and Grey Farm. To him, the many students who learned and grew there were "his kids" too, and he cared for them as such.

Those who knew Nick will remember not only his generous spirit and steadfast values, but also his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. He could find laughter in life's everyday moments, and his stories and jokes had a way of making people feel instantly at ease.

He will be remembered for his love, his service, his laughter, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life. His legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him.
