Survived by wife, Tess; children, Andy, Brian and Conner; brother, Gary and sister, Linda, & their families: Diane, Bruce, Kaja, Brandon, Aiden, Michael, Jeff, Saree, Bryce, Breahn, Katie and Rylie; beloved Aunt Bernice; Kiki, Eric & their families; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Ralph & Betty McElroy; sister-in-law, Tina; Caitlin and Tina's friend Jim Glynn; nieces, nephews and cousins; many friends. He will be missed forever and loved just as much. Services Wednesday, 11 AM, Rejoice Lutheran Church, 2556 So. 138 Street, Omaha. Memorials to the Nebraska Humane Society. Arr. It´s a month today, since we lost one of our familymembers.I met David and his family the first time in April 1995, and they treated me and my friends as family from start. A year later, David and Tess came to Sweden to meet the rest of the family. I know that David realy appreciated to see where he had his roots and what his Grandfather left. He also helped me to meet many of our American relatives. I miss him so much. I know that all of the others here in Sweden are thinking of you, not only me and my family.
David will always have a speciel place in my heart, as his family Tess, Brian, Conner and Andrew.
Take care of you.

Dear Tess, Andy, Brian & Conner,
I am very sorry for the loss of your husband and father. I knew Dave in Minneapolis in 1980s when he was the sales rep for Western Airlines. He was one of the first people I met when I started in the travel industry, and he was one of the most genuinely nice people I have ever met. He was the face of Western Airlines in our community, and always a pleasure to work with. I have many fond memories of Dave, and was thrilled to run into Dave and Tess several years later at the Orange Tree Resort in Scottsdale. I will hold on to this great memory and know that you will have many more to sustain you as you grieve his loss. My most sincere condolences.

My best buddy. 35 years ago David called on me as a travel agent. Then while I was working with Hawaiian hotels and MLT Vacations we continued our business/friendship and escorted many travel agents to exotic destinations filled with laughter. I am grateful to have had him as a friend and a guest in our house so many times. Our laughter was infectious and always brought tears to beautiful Tess' eyes. To all in David's family and all his friends, he will really be missed and will always be remembered with a BIG smile. God bless you David!
