David Christopher Reyes

David Christopher Reyes, 60, of Kea'au, Hawaii, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at home, surrounded by the love and support of his family. He was born on January 30, 1965. David was a truck driver and Veteran of the US Air Force. David will be forever cherished and remembered by his loving wife, Leilani Mulec Reyes of Kea'au. He leaves behind his children: Kahali'ihaulaniokahonua Anthony Cole Reyes (Tayani Lee) of Hilo, Hawaii, Kahulaliokalaukolu Landon Trey Reyes (Morgan) of Norwich, Connecticut and Kahikinaokala Reyes of Hilo. He was preceded into heaven by his daughter, Kala'iokeala'ula Ashley Nicole Reyes Kanekoa. He is also survived by his father, Vincent Edelbert Reyes of Washington State; sisters, Kelly Davis of Anchorage, Alaska, Tracey Engelke of Tumwater, Washington and Jaycene Reyes Marini (Mario); brother, Vincent Edward Reyes of Canada. David was a proud and loving grandfather to his precious grandchildren: Alianna Reyes, Kaia Reyes, Arabella Reyes Kanekoa, and Landon Reyes. He is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and hanai children all of whom will deeply miss him. His hard work and sacrifices for his family will never be forgotten.
