David Rudy Sandoval (affectionately known as “Pops”), a man of boundless faith, wisdom, and strength, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 13, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on July 10, 1953, David was a mighty man of God; steadfast in his devotion, unshakable in his belief, and guided always by the Holy Spirit.
David’s faith was the cornerstone of his life. He lived as a true prayer warrior, never hesitating to lift others up in heartfelt prayer. Those who crossed his path were often met with words of divine wisdom and encouragement; reminders of God’s love, spoken with grace and conviction. The Holy Spirit flowed through him, allowing him to speak life, peace, and healing into those who needed it most. His unwavering faith and compassionate heart left a lasting imprint on every soul he touched.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl; his children, Dominique (Ryan), Brandi (Brandon), Frankie (Kalyn), and Daniel (Angela); his grandchildren, Jonathan, Jasmine, Daniel Jr., Jaziah, and Jazlyn; his brothers and sisters, JB (Theresa), Ronnie (Tommie), Paul (Elizabeth), Steven, Antoinette, Margaret (Frank), Angie (Stacio), and Sonny (Freida); along with his nieces and nephews who will forever carry his legacy of prayer and love. His presence, his prayers, and his words of wisdom will be deeply missed; yet his faith continues to echo in the lives of all who were blessed to know him.
A burial service will be held at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos, New Mexico, for close friends and family at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
