David Saucedo
September 3, 1944 - July 6, 2024
David G. Saucedo was born September 3, 1944 to Serafina Gonzales Saucedo and Jose Infante Saucedo and departed this world at age 79 on July 6, 2024.

Living siblings include, Martin Saucedo, Ignacio Saucedo, Valentine Saucedo, Raymond Saucedo, Santos Saucedo, Lilly Saucedo and Tony Saucedo . He attended Edgewood High School where he was all-star football player and where he met the love of his life Raquel Reyes Saucedo who he married in 1967.

David and Raquel celebrated nearly six decades of marriage and they had two children, Gina Yvonne Saucedo (Inez Cindy Gabriel) and David Reyes Saucedo (Veronica Casas). He was also proud grandfather to David Ra Saucedo and Azareel Drake Saucedo.

In 1967 David joined the San Antonio Police Department where he served with honor for 20 years. He also enjoyed a second career with State of Texas' Licensing and Regulatory Office.

David enjoyed spending weekends at the family's second home at Canyon Lake and travelling to Mexico and Las Vegas.

Services will be held at Castillo Funeral Home. Viewing: July 16, 2024, family only, 3-4 p.m., public, 4-8 p.m. Rosary at 6 p.m. Funeral Mass on July 17, 2024 at 11 a.m., St. Leonard's Church, 8510 S. Zarzamora, San Antonio, Texas 78224 with burial immediately following at First Memorial Park Cemetery, 20567 TX-16, Von Ormy, Texas 78073.

It is deep sympathy that I express my sorrow for the passing of David. The David I knew at Edgewood was a very nice and kind person. We all knew he was going to be successful in life as a husband, father, and hard worker. You all were blessed to have him in your life.
