David was born on March 2, 1953, in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Walter and Delores (Warmbold) Schultz. He attended school in Calumet and Minneapolis and graduated from Robbinsdale High School in 1971. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps from April 1971 to March of 1979. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and then served in the Army Reserves and National Guard, retiring in March of 1999 at the rank of E-7. He moved to Menahga in 1979 and worked as an automobile mechanic and a truck driver, retiring in 2014. In his free time, he loved traveling, rv-ing, hunting, and fishing, and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 3289.
David is survived by his Children: Juliette Schultz, Jennifer (Gary) Schaefer, Jason Schultz, Aaron (LizAnn) Schultz, wonderful loving grandchildren, great grand children, nieces and nephews.
David is preceded in death by his Wife Anne (Torvinen) Schultz, Brother Dennis Schultz, Sister Deborah (Ronato) Japor, father Walter Schultz, and mother Delores (Warmbold) Schultz
