David Alfred Schutten
Age 71, found peace on December 30, 2025. He is survived by his sister, Mary Berger (John DiDio) and brothers, Daniel (Margie) Schutten, Steven (Beth) Schutten, and Peter (Margaret) Schutten. David is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, including Lauren Berger, Daniel Berger, and Stacy (Nick) Sommerville. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret (Kiki) Schutten and his father, Bernard Schutten.
David was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He enlisted in the United States Army and was awarded an ROTC scholarship to attend the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. After serving in the Army, he settled in Decatur, Georgia. David was a teacher in DeKalb county and member of Oakhurst Presbyterian Church in Decatur, Georgia.

A memorial service will be held at Oakhurst Presbyterian Church on March 14, 2026 at 2:00 pm. Private interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery in St. Francis, Wisconsin. Memorials to Oakhurst Presbyterian Church.
