David Alan Scott

David A. Scott (a.k.a Alan), 71, of Medina, Ohio, peacefully passed away on December 13, 2022, surrounded by family.
He was born on January 16, 1951, in Cambridge, Massachusetts and was unselfishly raised by his mother, Eleanor (Scott) Holder. Alan opted not to graduate high school and instead opted to work to assist his mother with the responsibility of his 10 siblings. He became a master mechanic and was known in the area surrounding Boston, Massachusetts for his automotive knowledge, repair skills and management style. Later in life he also supervised for the MBTA "The Ride", a 58 city – paratransit service in the Boston area.
Alan is survived by his siblings Wayne (Vicky) Scott, Dana Holder, Paula Holder, Donna Moody, James Scott, John Scott and Ronald Scott; his children Laurie Leverette, Dameka (Sherman) Lee, David (Rachael) Scott, and Brianna (Daniel) Nusbaum; nieces, nephews, grandchildren and a great grandchild. Alan was predeceased by his mother Eleanor (Scott) Holder and his siblings Donald Scott, Jeannette (Vernon) Mungin, Ralph Holder, Cecilia Holder, Richard Holder, Dean Holder, Mark Holder, Joanne Scott and Karen Scott.
Alan was known for his love of reading, bad jokes and rare music collection. Family outings were most important to him. A family memorial service will be held out of state in 2023.
