David Alan Secrest "Sedog" was all heart until HIS suddenly stopped on October 12th, 2024.
David was born on October 17,1955 to the late Richard (Dick) Secrest and Juanita (Nita) Secrest. He grew up in Levittown, PA with his sisters Geri Secrest and Bobbi Deutsch (Tom).
Spending his early summers playing baseball and Capture the Flag, he found time to catch the "golfing bug" by winning miniature golf tournaments. David went on to become a proud member of the Red Team, the anchor in the Senior tug of war competition and was the starting catcher for Neshaminy High School.
After some college, his jobs included winding motors, fan manufacturing, and various sales positions. He worked for decades in the family business with Pace Turnkey Corporation which developed a love of electrical engineering. David became a Master Electrician and took pride in owning and operating his electrical contracting company called Cape Turnkey. Both his profession and electric personality brought a bright light wherever he went!
David was a leader at church, in sports, and in life! His competitive nature and gregarious personality enhanced the experience for anyone that had the opportunity to join him in an activity. He enjoyed church softball, bowling, choir, camping, fishing and especially hunting where "There's only ONE Opening Day". David loved golf almost as much as the guys he played with! He stayed true to his belief that "It's the last game you'll ever play" when his team finished tied for first place only days before taking his last breath. BaDaBING!
His involvement with all of his activities was only matched by the love he felt for the groups of people he enjoyed them with. His love and passion spilled over as Dad and Pop in coaching, teaching and supporting his kids and grandkids by being THE #1 Loudest Fan!
David fiercely loved his wife Karen and adored his family. His legacy lives on through (6) Grandkids from his (2) Children Jennifer Filer (Shane) and Jared Secrest (Laura). David loved doing life with his wife Karen and especially loved experiencing new destinations all around the world. Recently accomplishing their goal of crossing the country in their motorhome, traveling together spread warmth and joy wherever they went!
He left this earth way too soon, but we can all smile as we reflect on how much David's life blessed our own. Yeah baby!
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Grace Point Church, 592 Washington Crossing Road, Newtown PA 18940 on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at promptly 1:00PM. Time with the family and lite bites to follow the service.

So sorry to hear that Dave has passed. I had the pleasure of coaching the 13 year old Northampton Little League team with Dave many summers ago. His love and passion for coaching the kids was evident to everyone who knew him. Rest in peace Dave. You left a lasting impression on the kids and all that knew you.
