David Sedillo Jr., passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, at the age of 74.
He was preceded in death by his father David M. Sedillo; mother Maria Sedillo; brothers: Freddy Sedillo, Alberto Sedillo, and Flavio Martinez
David is survived by his sons: David Chris Sedillo, Lawrence Sedillo; daughter Maria "Lissa" Sedillo; grandchildren: Geneva Lopez, Christoper Sedillo, Armando Martinez, Julian Sedillo, Jada Martinez, Daisy Sedillo, Gage Sedillo, Colt Sedillo; great-grandson Artem Sedillo; mother of his children Nancy Chavez; sister and brother-in-law Betty and Joe Garcia, brother Pat Sedillo, and sister Marcella Sedillo.
David was a man who could always be found with a tool in hand, David's passion for building and repurposing was more than just a hobby; it was a testament to his handy and intelligent nature. His love for creation was only matched by his deep appreciation for Spanish cuisine and the simple pleasures of a good meal at KFC. David's zest for life was evident in everything he did and everything he loved.
In his professional life, David was a proud entrepreneur. He once owned his own business, a venture that was more than just a source of income. It was a family affair, a joint effort that brought his loved ones together to create something truly successful. The pride he felt in this collaboration was immeasurable, and it was a shining example of his wise and motivated character. Once David set his mind to something, there was no doubt that he would see it through to fruition.
Above all, David's family was his priority. He was a rock for his loved ones, a source of wisdom and guidance. His intelligence was not just for business; it was also for life. David knew the value of hard work, the importance of staying true to one's convictions, and the joy of achieving shared goals. His family's success was his success, and his legacy is etched in the lives of those he loved
and led by example.
Those who knew David understood that his wisdom extended beyond words. He was a man of action, a person who taught through doing, who inspired through accomplishment. His presence was a comforting constant, and his absence will be felt deeply.
As we say farewell to David Sedillo, Jr., we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey marked by perseverance, intelligence, and an unwavering commitment to his family. He was the embodiment of what it means to be handy, intelligent, and wise. His memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him, and his legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of his family and friends. David's life was a beautiful illustration of the power of dedication and the enduring strength of love.
David's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary to be recited on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 9:30 am at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St. SW, 87102. Service will begin at 10:00 am.
