David Brian Shaw, 69, of Randleman, formerly of Supply, NC, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, February 28, 2026. He was born February 2, 1957 in Seagrove, NC to James Henry Shaw and Doris Marie Sheffield Shaw.
Brian found his soulmate and love of his life, Annette, and had been happily married for over 40 years. They built a wonderful life together in Randleman and for seven years lived at the beach in Supply, NC.
Brian loved his family immensely. He was always there for his kids and taught them to play softball, baseball, golf, how to fish, and how to drive. He loved being involved in their sports and taking on the role of baseball coach.
His love of racing granted him the opportunity to work for the #28 team of Herb Poole and Pete Darrity. He worked on, repaired, and built his own #28 car. Later in life, he was the owner/operator of Shaw’s Home Improvement. A carpentry shop that was a labor of love as he did it less for the money and more the smiles and to make people happy. He loved to be around his best friends, Bucky and Rodney Jernigan – your friendships meant the world to him.
Brian’s wish to come home and see his family and friends was fulfilled by so many we want to thank, especially Bucky.
The family wishes to thank their families at Bible Baptist Church in Supply, NC and Midway United Missionary Church in Randleman.
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Annette Shaw of the home; children, Brianna Francis (Mike) of Randleman, Tana Morton (Jason) of Trinity, Dekota Shaw (Danielle) of Trinity, Camden Hayes of Asheboro; brothers, Rick Shaw and Rodney Pitts; nieces, Shelly (Ken), Abigail (Ryan); nephews, Scott Lawrence (Kady), Jonathon Shaw (Johna); adopted family, Brandy Tucker (Chris); children, Devin, Preston, Cole, and J.W.
