David Earl Shehadi, beloved father, grandpa, brother, son, and friend, passed away on May 14, 2025, surrounded by his family at the age of 65.
He was born on March 27, 1960, in Syracuse, New York to Frederick & Charlene Shehadi. He had met the mother of his children, Esperanza Shehadi, in Baltimore, Maryland. They were married shortly after and started a family together. His career in telecommunications allowed him to travel the country where he eventually settled in Pensacola, Florida and made it his home.
Business acumen came naturally to David, starting his first business at just 13 years old. He had a dedicated work ethic and never backed down from a challenge. He began his career in the telecommunications industry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He drew from his experience, creating his own company and legacy, Quality Cable & Fiber Services. David valued honesty, hard work, and follow through. He had a kind heart and was always good for a joke. He made a network of friends and colleagues across the country and was affectionately known to many as "the Mule" or "Bubba".
Outside of work, David enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, watching the "boob tube", traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. His travels had taken him to forty nine of the fifty states in the United States of America and into South America as well.
He is survived by his children: Kyle Shehadi, Amber Edmands (Daniel), Shelby Shehadi, and Heather Prince (Tony); his grandchildren: Lincoln Shehadi, Theodore Shehadi, Kennedy Shehadi, Octavia Shehadi, Heather Shehadi, Roscoe Edmands and Lucy Edmands; his siblings: Frederick Shehadi III (Susan), Abigail Shehadi, and Kristen Gilbert; many nieces and nephews and his dog, Mr. Wiggles.
He was preceded in death by his parents and eldest sister, Karen Sauer.
A Celebration of Life will be held June 21, 2025 time and location to be announced at a later date.
He was a lifelong contributor to the Shriners Hospital for Children and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations to Shriners Hospital for Children (www.lovetotherescue.org) or St Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) would be a wonderful way to honor his memory and generous spirit.
