David Ross Shepherd

David Ross Shepherd, born on August 29, 1944 in Barberton, Ohio, to the late Dorothy Muffett and Willard Shepherd, entered his heavenly home with Christ at age 73 on July 18, 2018 in Ft. Myers, Florida from a 9 year brave battle with cancer. He was a Kent State graduate in Business. David was married to Marylynn and formerly married to Cheryl. He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Alicia. David is survived by his daughters and son-in-laws Georgette, Todd, Nicole, Bill, and Wendy; stepson, Chip; nine grandchildren; four great-children;
He had no siblings but all of his cousins were like his brothers and sisters. He loved to golf, water ski and run. During his career Dave developed many beautiful communities in West Akron and Cuyahoga Falls along with several commercial buildings. He also owned several small successful businesses. He loved working with his children in the family business and was a great teacher and mentor. He taught us all the value of working hard, keeping faith, and never giving up. He will be greatly missed. As per his request there will only be a Celebration of Life gathering for all friends and family; to be held in late August and notified by invitation.
