David A. Skiles, 74, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, surrounded by his family.

He was born on November 28, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of James Arvil and Nioma Eileen (Bean) Skiles.

He was a 1968 graduate of Roosevelt High School.

David was united in marriage on November 4, 2011, in Jefferson City, to Donna Skiles, who survives of the home.

He retired from Missouri Department of Transportation.

David liked to fish, take camping trips with his family, watch all Missouri sports, especially St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, traveling and loved to BBQ.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Skiles, two daughters, Amie (Jason) Sprague, Conway, Arkansas, Amanda Skiles, Cabot, Arkansas; three step-daughters, Lyndsey (Derek) Strickland, Mexico, MO, Andie (Chris) Sunpter, Moberly, MO, and Allie (Kyle) Fisher, New Bloomfield, MO, four granddaughters, Bailie, Cait, Cali, and Paisleigh; two grandsons, Waylon and Stetson; one sister, Erma (Ross) Terry, and many nieces and nephews. Finally, his beloved dog, Sophie.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
