David Skuse Obituary
Mr. David Charles Skuse, 98, a resident of the Utica Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at the nursing home.
David was born in Utica, on April 20, 1925, the son of Thomas and Abbie (Witherall) Skuse. He was raised in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. For many years until his retirement, David was employed with the Utica Textile Mills. He was an avid reader.
Mr. Skuse is survived by his three brothers and one sister-in-law, Thomas Skuse of Rochester, Richard Skuse of Utica and Robert and Shirley Skuse of Utica, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Peggy Skuse and Flora Longo.
Visitation for family and friends is Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 10:00 am until 11:00 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 at the conclusion of visitation. He will be laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery in Utica.
