David Roger Snarr, of Idaho Falls, died January 28th 2025.
He was born on February 25, 1945 to A. Wylie and Virginia C. Snarr. He was raised on a farm in the Osgood area with five brothers and two sisters. He attended New Sweden School, and as he approached adulthood, became a full time farmer in the Osgood area and Kings River, NV. He received his GED in 1984.
On August 22, 1963 he married the love of his life, Carol Lee Thompson, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They had two children together, Troy and Jennifer.
Besides working on the farm, he owned a potato warehouse, worked at a couple gas stations, drove trucks, and the last years of his career worked and retired from the City of Idaho Falls as a Pre-treatment Coordinator.
Dave loved his family but also loved camping, cruising, NASCAR, football and hanging out with his friends at the Idaho Falls Senior Center and the Blue Wave.
Survivors include son, Troy Snarr; daughter, Jennifer (Ronnie) Campbell; grandchildren, Jeremy (Amanda) Campbell, Alicia (Tony) Truster; great-grandchildren Kinlee and Silas; and brother, Paul (Shelley) Snarr.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; parents, Wylie and Virginia; brothers Richard, Robert, Joe, and Steve; and sisters, Kathy Fontes and Faye Garcia.
As per Dave's request, there will be no services. Dave will be cremated and laid to rest with Carol on a later date. Family and friends are invited to a wake Saturday February 8th, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Blue Wave 2060 Rollandet, Idaho Falls, ID.
