David Snook Obituary
David Lee Snook, the son of Floyd and Joan (Watson) Snook, was born on September 28th, 1952 at Grinnell, Iowa. He lived in Searsboro, Iowa and attended Lynnville-Sully Community Schools.
After graduation he enlisted in the Air Force June 1972. He served as munitions maintance in NKP Thailand 1989-1990 (end of Vietnam war); Luke Air Force in Arizona for 4 years; Germany 11 years; and finished his career in Homestead, Florida. He served TDY's to various areas of the world during his 20 years. He served his country with valor retiring July 1992 as Master Sargent.
He retired and moved to Youngstown, Florida where he enjoyed weekly fishing trips, working on boats, playing cards and yearly vacations to Lake Rathbum in Iowa, to visit family and friends.
David is survived by 6 siblings, Bruce Snook of Muscatine, IA., Gary (Vanessa) Snook of Warren, PA., Carol (Scott) Westercamp of Ankeny, IA., Richard (Sheryl) Snook of Camp Point, IL., Mark (Marilyn) Snook of Des Moines, IA. and Kevin (Teresa) Snook of Geneseo, IL. Numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces all loved UNCLE David.
Preceded in death by his parents.

To my brother from Morbach. You were my sponsor, co-worker and close friend for 7.5 years. Shared so many festival's, Friday after work "Safety Meetings". Celebrated so many birthdays at Octoberfest. We share the same birthday. So many memories. Sleep well.

My sincere condolences for my long time friend and neighbor for 30 years. He will deeply be missed and his friendship. Never have I heard David speak or miss treat anyone ever. He was always a kind and loving sole. May our lord and saviors welcome him home with open arms. Until we meet again Amen.
