David W. Sorenson

David Wayne Sorenson, 64, of Marion, IN, passed away on January 6, 2026. Born on October 8, 1961, in Huntington, IN to Jack and Virginia Sorenson, he was a devoted husband to Beth Sorenson and a loving father to Jennifer, Brent, Shane, and Brianna.
Dad was hard-working and dependable. He spent many years working as a truck driver for Huntington Ready-Mix and was an over-the-road driver until he retired.
Though Dad may not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his long years of fatherly love honored. He had a hearty laugh, the best bear hugs, and was always there for his kids. His goofy sense of humor and deep well of dad jokes always had his family laughing. Dad loved music and sports. He played softball and coached his kids' baseball teams. He attended concerts and games for his children and later his grandchildren, making many memories through the years.
He is survived by his wife, Beth Sorenson; children, Jennifer (Symps) Ndlovu, Brent (Alison) Sorenson, Shane (Ashley) Feemster, and Brianna Sorenson; grandchildren Vincent Sorenson, Karaline Sorenson, HannaLea Ndlovu, Jack Sorenson, Ntsika Ndlovu, Will Sorenson, and Madalynne Sorenson; as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 9th at 7pm at Needham-Storey Wampner Funeral Services in Marion, IN with visitation from 5-7pm casual attire, please.
