David had a great love for Brazilian Ju-Jitsu and was an accomplished competitor. He loved his Ju-Jitsu family. He loved fishing with his dad, but everyone knew he was a mama's boy! When he entered the room, David lit it up with his infectious smile. He had a love for all babies and children. If there was a kid nearby David would be holding and loving on them with hugs and kisses.
David is survived by his loving wife, Geovana Machado-Southgate his parents, Penny and Ray Southgate, his father and mother-in-law Osvaldo and Sandra Machado, brother-in-law Gabriel, sister-in-law Stephanie, his grandmother June Southgate, his Aunt Diana (Dave) Daniels, his Uncles Joe and Roger (Cheryl) Wilcox, his Aunt BillieJo (Kevin) Curran, many cousins, extended family, and multiple loving friends.
