David Monroe Steele, 58, of Salisbury, NC passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2024, in Salisbury, NC.
David was born December 25, 1965, in Statesville, NC. He was the son of Jesse F. and Iva W. Steele, and Ronnie E. and Linda S. Williams. David worked with HVAC systems for many years, but most recently in maintenance.
David is preceded in death by his father Jesse F. Steele and mothers Iva W. Steele and Linda S. Williams.
David is survived by his son Jesse C. Steele of Charlotte, NC; daughter Dallas S. Evans (Dustin Evans), grandson Patton B. Evans, both of Enterprise, Mississippi; sister Lisa B. Marlow (Robin Marlow) of China Grove, NC; sister LuAnn B. Austin (Mark Austin) of Harrisburg, NC; sister Kelly Talbert of Statesville, NC; brother Johnny J. Brooks (Cheryl Brooks) of Salisbury, NC; brother Greg D. Williams (Wanda Williams) of Spencer, NC; step-father Ronnie E. Williams and wife Crystal Williams of Kannapolis, NC; former wife Kim M. Lang of Spanish Fort, Alabama; special friend Tammy Clemo of Mocksville, NC; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
David was smart and quick-witted, and he never met a stranger. He lit up a room. Our family will forever feel the void in our hearts without him. There will always be an empty chair at our table from now on.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
