David was preceded in death by his father, Gale, and is survived by his mother, Karen, his sister Danielle Stenberg and her husband Sanjay Sharma, six nieces and nephews, and his brother Michael Stenberg.
David was cheerful and loving to all who knew him. He was quick-witted, an expert gamer, and a die-hard Carolina Hurricanes fan. That God is Life, and Life is Love, is the deepest and most mysterious message David felt charged to share in this world.
He will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Wake Memorial Park at 2pm. Flowers may be sent to Wake Memorial Park, 7002 Green Hope School Rd. Cary, NC 27519
