David Stephens Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home on Feb. 5, 2026.
David Stephens, 66, passed away on January 25, 2026, in Harleysville, Pennsylvania. Born on October 4, 1959, in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, David lived a life marked by warmth, dedication, and a deep love for family and the culinary arts.

David graduated from North Penn High School in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. His passion for food led him to pursue formal training at culinary school, where he honed his skills and began a lifelong journey as a talented and devoted chef. Cooking was not just a profession for David-it was an expression of his creativity and care for others. Whether preparing meals for loved ones or experimenting with new recipes, he brought joy to those around him through his culinary talents.

Beyond the kitchen, David found happiness in simple pleasures. He loved fishing, traveling, and playing blackjack. But perhaps nothing brought him more joy than watching football-a pastime he cherished deeply. Sundays were often spent cheering on his favorite teams with enthusiasm.

David was known by those who knew him as caring, loving, and easygoing. He had a natural ability to make people feel welcome and valued. Time spent with family was especially important to him; he treasured every gathering and moment shared.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother Sophia; his brother Elmer and sister-in-law Kathy; his sister Becki and brother-in-law Rich; his brother in-law James; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. David was preceded in death by his father Elmer and his sister JoAnn.

May David's memory bring comfort to all who knew him and continue to inspire kindness and passion in the lives he touched.
