David Matthew Stone
September 26, 1974 - December 26, 2025
"Lord God, mercy is in your hands, pour me a little. And tenderness too. My need is great."
Mary Oliver
David Matthew Stone was born in Roseburg, Oregon on September 26, 1974. David was the oldest child of Paul and Hetty Stone.
David loved nature and found great happiness in outdoor pursuits like fishing and hunting. He was fortunate that his work as an independent landscaper enabled him to spend time outdoors while earning a living. David had many health challenges during the past few years, but he was always able to maintain a positive attitude toward life. Many people will remember his kindness and willingness to help both family and friends.
David's parents are both deceased. He is survived by his children Spencer Stone and Brooke Stone and grandchildren. David's sisters Kelly Engle and Toni Stone and his aunt Janet Hawkins also survive him.
David will also be missed by many in the Roseburg "recovery community." The Stone family wishes to thank all those who offered David care and support throughout his life.
