David Stout Obituary
David Basil Stout, 80, who was born on August 11, 1929, in Spencer, West Virginia, died on Friday, February 26, 2010, at his home in Gold Hill, Virginia.
He is survived by his wife, Jessie Wanda Stout; and seven children, David Michael, Richard Basil, Steven Ray, Robert Dewey, Norman Keith, William Russell and Jessie Ruth Stout. He is also survived by his sister, RoseMary; a brother, Edward Joseph; several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
David pastored three churches in the area, taught at Gold Hill School for several years, was a Korean War vet and had a good life with lots of humor and joking
A memorial service will be held at Arvonia Methodist Church in Arvonia, Virginia, 2 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at a later date in West Virginia.
Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 1160 Pepsi Place, Suite 306, Charlottesville, VA 22901 or a charity of your choice.
Colbert Funeral Home in Bremo Bluff is in charge of arrangements.
