David LaVerne Streeter, 87, of South Haven, Michigan passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 15, 2026. David was born on September 27, 1938 to Kenneth and Kathleen (Cash) Streeter in Lansing, Michigan.

David is survived by his two children; Max Streeter of South Haven MI and Michael (Michelle) Streeter of Stevensville, MI, and a brother-in-law Roger Ray, of Atlanta, MI. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Jeremy (Suzi) Price, Nicholas (Stacy) Streeter, Kenneth Streeter, Patrick Streeter, Amanda Streeter, and great- grandchildren; Olivia, Benny, Jett and Ember.

David was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Carol Streeter, parents Kenneth and Kathleen Streeter, Father and mother-in-law Roland and Doris Shook, brother Bernard Streeter, and sister Patricia Ray

David met the love of his life Carol Shook in high school when he was in the 11th grade. Shortly after graduating high school, they were united in marriage on November 26, 1958 in Lansing Michigan.

David served his country in the United States Airforce. David worked for MDOT as a Maintenance Crew Leader for 33 years until he retired in 1996. He also worked at Balfour Tax.

David was a co-owner for Joint Venture Charters out of South Haven with his brother-in-law Roger Ray and sister Pat for several years. David loved to be outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, softball, birdwatching, bowling and golfing. David also achieved his pilot license. David had a great love for animals and was a great dog dad to several dogs over the years. David was a very kind and loving husband; father and friend and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made in David's memory to Al Van Humane Society, P.O. Box 421, South Haven, Michigan.
