Adelbert Richard Knight, 84, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, in South Haven. He was born on October 16, 1941, to the late Van John and Cecille Marion (Johnston) Knight.

There are no services planned at this time. His body will be cremated and his family will have a private service at a later date.

Del is survived by his ex-wife, Debra (Beilman) Knight, whom he was married to for over 40 years. They reunited and have been together for over 5 years. Together they have a daughter; Danielle Knight. He is also survived by his sister; Suzanne Palczynski, nephew; Eric (Sharon) Palczynski, nieces; Dawn (Kenny) Gerome, Stacy (Bill) Hisey and sister in-law; Lori Seabury. He was preceded by his parents and brother; David Knight.

Before retiring, Del worked in Environmental Waste Clean Up. His work took him around the United States working at hazardous waste sites. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in the Unites States Army. Throughout his life Del was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed football and was a huge NASCAR fan. He also loved hunting. After retiring you could find him outside on his property or watching a T.V. show about some type of wildlife. He had a strong love for nature and animals. Del's favorite thing was spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving and proud family man and a good friend to many. He was always ready with a story or to offer helpful advice and was filled with both from his many years of travel and unique experiences. His generous nature and kindness were well known among those that knew him. He will be very deeply missed.
