David Wayne Strickland

Funeral services for David Wayne Strickland will be held at 2:00 PM. Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at The Apostolic Church of The Lord Jesus Christ with Rev. David Mixon officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens.
David was born January 15, 1964 in Lucedale, Mississippi and passed away December 20, 2022 in Jackson, Mississippi. He loved God, family, church, working with his hands, coffee, hunting and fishing. David was a faithful member of The Apostolic Church of The Lord Jesus Christ. He was employed as a mechanic with Turner Industrial Services. David was preceded in death by parents Milton and Alice Strickland; brother Delbert Strickland; sisters Becky Strickland and Barbara Oliver.
David is survived by his wife of 30 years Shirley Strickland; sons Justin Strickland and wife Frankie, Caleb Strickland; daughter Haley Strickland; brothers Billy and wife Wanda, Otis and wife Glenda Strickland, Anthony Strickland, Susan Jordan and husband Donnie, Diane Carter and husband Bart and Francis Poole and husband Jerry; 2 grandchildren Payslie Layne Strickland and Maesyn Jane Strickland.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Strickland, Riley Wilson, Danny Boatright, Jamie Strickland, Paul Linder and Bruce Frith.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Chance Dupree, Drew Martin, Remington Basham, Bryan Frith.
