David Neil Terry, 56, of Glen Allen, Virginia, formerly of Hot Springs, passed away Saturday, September 06, 2025, at his residence.

He was born September 7, 1968, in Clifton Forge, Virginia, the son of the late Leon "Squeaky" Thomas Terry and Roberta Jean Townsend Terry.

Mr. Terry worked in Surveillance in various casinos during his career. He spent many years working at the Venetian in Las Vegas, Nevada and later moved to Nazareth, Pennsylvania to become the Director of Surveillance at the Sands Casino in Bethlehem. His most recent job was Director of Surveillance for the Colonial Downs casino in Virginia. Both in Las Vegas, NV and in Pennsylvania, he taught classes on gaming when asked to do so by the local colleges. He enjoyed the work that he did and was well known for his skills and knowledge throughout the gaming world.

Growing up, he was a member of the Hot Springs Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed playing tennis and swimming, as well as spending time with friends. As an adult, he was happy to spend time with his family and to watch his son grow up and experience life.

He is survived by a wife, Jennifer Terry, a son, Mathew Douglas Terry of Nazareth, Pennsylvania; and a brother; Stephen Terry & wife Lorie Terry of Weirton, West Virginia.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Hot Springs Presbyterian Church in Hot Springs, Virginia, with Reverend Scott Conrad officiating. Interment will be in Warm Springs Cemetery.
