With profound sadness and heartfelt gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of David "Dave" Dean Teuteberg on November 27, 2024, at the age of 66. Dave was born on April 22, 1958, to Wolferd and Joyce (née Swanson) Teuteberg and grew up in Eagle, Wisconsin. Dave's life was a testament to love, family, and dedication. A proud graduate of Mukwonago High School, it was there he met Jane (née Walsh), his high school sweetheart and soulmate. They married in May of 1979 and built a remarkable 45-year marriage rooted in love, partnership, and the joy of raising their three children: Josh, Troy, and Lisa. As a talented general contractor and carpenter, Dave poured his heart and soul into his work, crafting not just structures but memories for countless families. His skill with his hands was matched only by his warmth, humor, and steadfast devotion to his family. Dave's passions extended well beyond his work. He cherished hunting, fishing, golf, and cheering on his beloved Green Bay Packers. Yet, his true "Happy Place" was in Spooner, Wisconsin, on the family land where he found solace and joy surrounded by the beauty of nature and the people he loved. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jane; his children, Josh Teuteberg, Troy Teuteberg, and Lisa Schultz; his grandchildren, Bryson Simmerman and McKenzie Teuteberg; and his siblings, Jon (Sherry)Teuteberg, Bonnie Teuteberg, and Dave (Heidi) Uebelacker, as well as many other beloved family members and friends. He joins in eternal rest his parents, Wolferd and Joyce Teuteberg; his brothers, Mark, Paul, and Pat Teuteberg; and his grandson, Kaden Teuteberg. Dave lived his life guided by the wisdom of his favorite saying: "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
A celebration of Dave's life will be held in the spring, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory. Details will be shared at a later date.
Dave's legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
