Mr. David Thompson, age 74, of Oakdale, passed away on Sunday September 21, 2025, at Roane Medical Center. He served in the US Army during Vietnam. He was a 'Jack of all trades, master of none'. When he wasn't 'fixin' something, David enjoyed going deer hunting or fishing. He loved sitting on his front porch watching the hummingbirds but most of all he loved his grandbabies.
Preceded in death by his parents: Carl & Lila Thompson.
Brother: Rolland Thompson
Sister: Dorthy Chambers.
Survived by his daughter & son-in-law: Missy & Eric Rogers.
Son & daughter-in-law: Greg & Natasha Thompson.
Brother: Carl Thompson
Sister & brother-in-law: Wanda & Tom Crass.
Granddaughters: Morgan & husband Happy Moore, Kimber Basden, Chelsea George.
Grandson: David Rogers and JB Thompson.
Four great grandchildren.
Along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on September 23, 2025, at Davis Funeral Home in Harriman from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Funeral services will follow with Bro. Kasey Stout officiating. Graveside services will follow in Emory Heights Cemetery with Roane County Military Honor Guard providing Military Honors.
