David Ellsworth (Els) Thurman Born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Betty and Earl J. Thurman on February 23, 1946. After, courageously battling with pancreatic cancer for several months, Dave went home to be with the Lord on February 24, 2014. His last 3 days of life were spent at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, NH. The doctor and staff diligently kept Dave comfortable and pain free. Many thanks go out to them! During this brief period, Dave managed to smile and recognize friends that visited. David attended school in Kerns, Utah and was known to pull off a few pranks but always in good fun. His college degree(s) was earned in California. David joined the Marine reserves and took training at 1000 Oaks. During those years he worked at a cement factory, washed cars at a local dealership and played bass in a band to pay his college tuition. Since July 2006, he was employed with J2 Global of Hollywood, California as an executive sales representative covering the New England area. David was recognized by his colleagues, customers and friends for his exemplary work ethics and caring interactions with them. Dave often encouraged others to take on challenges and follow their dreams. He could make people laugh. His employment years were diverse. He served as vice president of ObjectPlus, a division of Spinnaker, located in Cambridge, MA. After creating his own companies, Dave worked, diligently, as a consultant for many software businesses in the New England area. Dave always worked hard, loved deeply, and helped people in any way he could. Dave and his wife Christine E. Anderson, lived in Manchester, NH. They felt blessed to have shared over 20 years of love and closeness with each other. Dave is survived by his father, Earl J. Thurman, his sister Stacey (Thurman) Culberson, brother-in-law James Culberson, many nephews and nieces living in the Fort Worth, Texas area. Dave loved constructing and refurbishing pine furniture, creating fine leather goods, building his guitar and playing music. While in Utah visiting his dad, they traveled around to several rodeos and had a blast. Dave sure did love the western mountains! We owe a great debt of gratitude to dear friends, co-workers and medical staff who helped out so much during his illness. Donations made in his memory should be sent to: Life Dynamics, Inc. of Denton, Texas or Hospice houses. Honoring his final wishes, Dave was cremated (Cremation Society of NH) without a following ceremony. Go with God, my dearly loved husband.
