David O. Trudel, 63, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 10 2018, at Massachusetts General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Manchester, he is the son of Claire (Laferte) Trudel and the late Jules Trudel. Raised and educated in Manchester, he worked diligently for Talbot Caterers from 1969-2004 as an employee and later as the proprietor to provide for his growing family. From 2005 until his passing, he was employed as a campus safety officer at St. Anselm College. A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, David was the pillar of strength for his family. He cherished time spent with his wife and four sons at the beach. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards with friends. David took great pride in his home, always tinkering with a new building project. David will be best remembered for his kind heart and love of family. David had a great sense of humor and was always a fun person to be around. He was a person that always helped people and his last act was to donate his organs for cancer research. In addition to his mother, David is survived by his wife, Joanne (Cartier) Trudel, with whom he shared 36 years of marriage; four sons, Craig, Brett, Keith, and Scott Trudel, all of Manchester; granddaughter, Rena; six brothers, Donald and his wife Lorraine, Danny and his wife Susan, Jules and his wife Gisele, Paul, Michael and his wife Susan, John and his wife Pam Trudel; four sisters, Janice Deleault and her husband Bob, Donna Beliveau and her husband Bob, Anne Cinquegrana and her husband Tony, and Lynne Sheppard and her husband Joe; many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. ARRANGEMENTS: His Memorial Gathering will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, on Tuesday, August 14 from 6:00 to 8:00P.M. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated in the St. Anselm Abbey, 100 St Anselm Dr, Manchester, on Wednesday, August 15, at 10:00A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of David Trudel to the Massachusetts General Hospital, Cancer Research, 125 Nashua Street, Suite 540, Boston, MA 02114.

Janice, Claire and all the Trudel family...This must be a very difficult time for you...So sorry to hear of David's passing. I haven't seen the family since I left for college in 1970 but have very fond memories of all of you when you were kids and hanging out at your house that was so filled with love. I remember Talbots Caterers on the West Side and how humble David was. Again, it's hard to believe that we are all seniors now..Sending prayers to your family at this difficult time.

Thinking of you and your family, wishing you hope in the mist of sorrow, comfort in the midst of pain. Words seem inadequate to express the sadness I feel about David's death. My last memory with David was last year and he took me around to all my childhood homes in Manchester..We will always cherish the memories we shared together.
