David Louis Tychonievich, born on July 30, 1955, in
East Liverpool, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, in
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at the age of 70.
David led a life marked by passion and dedication. His early years in East Liverpool showcased his extraordinary talent and love for tennis, where he was celebrated as a Columbiana County Tennis Championship winner and shone brightly as the #1 varsity athlete playing tennis at East Liverpool High School.
After his scholastic achievements, David pursued his love for tennis professionally, working as a tennis instructor and pro shop employee. His devotion to the sport inspired many students and athletes who were fortunate to learn from him. Upon retiring, David's selfless nature was further exemplified when he became a live-in caregiver for his beloved mother, spending his retirement years dedicated to her care.
David was a man of diverse interests and talents. He found joy in music, not only enjoying it but also contributing to it through the production of an album titled "George." His love for creativity extended into the written word, where his deep spirituality and philosophical outlook on life culminated in the writing of his book, "Human Game: Create an Eternal Identity."
In addition to his artistic endeavors, David was an avid photographer, capturing life's moments through his lens with the same passion that he applied to all his pursuits. He was also an enthusiastic supporter of Notre Dame football, never missing an opportunity to cheer for his favorite team.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Marilyn (Burris) Tychonievich. He is survived by his brother, Daniel Tychonievich, and his cherished nieces, Rhianon Huff, Cera Rushing, and Danya Smith. His family and friends will remember him as a kind, talented, and spirited individual who touched the lives of all who knew him.
In accordance with David's wishes, no formal services will be held. Final arrangements have been entrusted to the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists.
