David Marshall Tyer, born on July 18, 1958, in Aurora, IL, where hard work and tradition thrived, peacefully passed away on November 12, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS at the age of 67.
David, a steadfast mechanic, spent a lifetime dedicated to repairing machines and helping those around him, showcasing his deep-rooted love for all things mechanical. His talents with tools and engines were matched only by his passion for the great outdoors, where he found joy in hunting and fishing, relishing every moment spent amidst nature.
David was a loving father to his daughter Aimee Brown (Michael)and son David Tyer (Jessica). He is survived by his brother James F. Sharp (Brenda). He found great pride in being a grandfather to David Colton Tyer, Aubreigh Tyer, Jayden Brown, Lillian Brown and Mikey Brown. His family was his cornerstone, and the laughter and love they shared created countless cherished memories. David was preceded in death by his parents Durl Tyer, Rachel Tyer, daughter, Christalee Gadd and wife Carol Tyer.
David's life was a testament to the beauty of simplicity and the importance of hard work, leaving a legacy of strength and resilience that will endure in the hearts of those he loved. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 2:00 PM-3:00 PM at Glenfield Funeral Home in New Albany, MS. Celebration of life service will be held right after at 3:00 PM in the Glenfield Funeral Home chapel. Services will be officiated by Bobby Waddell.
David Marshall Tyer will be deeply missed, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who loved him. May he rest in peace.
