David Vann Obituary
Mr. David Lidle Vann, age 64 of Ranger, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Advent Health Care in Gordon County.
He was born in Fort Oglethorpe, GA to the late, Sidney and Ruth Vann. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Talking Rock, GA. He enjoyed watching old Western TV shows and the great outdoors with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife, Jamie Vann, and sons, Kenneth Sidney Vann and Leland Fowler of Ranger, GA, son Dean and wife Melanie Vann of Tunnel Hill, GA, daughters include Alison and husband JW Layman of Chatsworth, GA, Cindy, and husband Junior Hooker of Panama, FL; two sisters, Ann Walters of Center, AL and Alice Dickerson of Summerville, GA. Five grandchildren, Elizabeth Vann, Deanna Vann, Courtney Vann, Christopher Bridges Staci and Josh Mitchem Kathrine Hooker, and Gloria Hooker, great-grandson Liam Micthem. also survived along with two sisters-in-law, Rachel Baggett and Andy Biglin of Rocky Top, TN, and Jennifer and husband James Thompson of Resaca, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survived.
Reverend Jackie Ellington will be officiating the service and pallbearers are Kenneth Vann, Dean Vann, JW Layman, Leland Fowler, James Roaden, Justin Roaden, James Thompson, and Andy Biglin.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. David Lidle Vann will be conducted at Shady Grove Baptist Church located at 197 Shady Grove Road Talking Rock GA 30175, on March 9, 2024 visitation will be at the church from 11 am til 2 pm with the service starting at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
