David Murray Vanoven, 53, of Glencoe, Arkansas, passed from this walk of life on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

He was born in Newport, Arkansas, on May 26, 1970, son of Cecil and Marie (Boatman) Vanoven. David was united in marriage to Lavonna Denise Dunkerson on March 11, 1988, in Kennett, Missouri. He was a truck driver and always enjoyed driving his 18-wheeler. David enjoyed fishing, mowing his yard, drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes. He was a big family man and loved telling big stories and dreaming out loud. David was a believer in God and Jesus.

David is survived by his wife, Denise Vanoven of Glencoe, Arkansas; sons, Ryan Vanoven (Savanna) of Glencoe, Arkansas and Colton Vanoven (Emma) of Glencoe, Arkansas; daughter, Jodi Vanoven (Loren Green) of Elizabeth, Arkansas; mother, Marie Bressie of Salem, Arkansas; brother, Tilton Vanoven (Onisca) of Trashwood, Arkansas and grandchildren, Dustin Vanoven, Danielle Vanoven and Declan Purcell.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Vanoven; sister, Kelly Shoebottom and grandparents.

Funeral Services will be held, Friday, April 26, 2024, at Doty Family Funeral Service Chapel in Salem, Arkansas beginning at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow services at Roberts Cemetery in Franklin, Arkansas.
